A ‘furiously masturbating’ man attempted to open an exit door on an aircraft mid-flight in what seems to be an attempt to join the solo Mile High club, then dive to freedom.
The flight from Boston to Los Angeles was forced to make an unscheduled landing after 26-year-old Doug Adams was ‘masturbating in flight and later tried to open an exit door,’ according to a police report.
Adams was reportedly wearing a hospital bracelet as he pleasured himself, and was taken to hospital following his partnerless Mile High escapade.
Having been apprehended for his first misdemeanour, he returned from the toilet, ‘fidgeting’, and attempted to make his daring, but doomed, escape.
LA film producer Sam Slater, who had the unfortunate seating position directly in front of Adams, said, ‘He at that point was fidgeting and began to remove the plastic covering from the emergency exit door and tried to pull to open the door.
‘Fortunately there were a couple of Boston police officers on the flight that were there at that point to help as well.’
